A Borneo Photography Tour Portfolio – by Vic Nemeth
Borneo is the world’s third largest island and conjures up images of a wild forest paradise where Orangutans, gibbons and colourful birds roam the Bornean jungle.
Our 2019 photo tour yielded a fantastic tour given our clients feedback, with out of this world orangutan sightings. Repeat ORYX guest Victor Nemeth offers his thoughts on our Borneo photography tour and a few selected images captured while on this unique photo safari.
“I had the pleasure of attending the 2019 ORYX Borneo Photography Tour and it was a trip that far exceeded my expectations. Every day was full day of activities and new experiences, which was well organized by ORYX and expertly run by our guide, Dale Morris. You cannot find a more experienced or enthusiastic guide than Dale as he makes every day unique and fun filled.
The weather was hot and humid but this did not deter us. We saw a great variety of wildlife from tiny insects to pygmy elephants. The Orangutans were definitely the highlight of the trip and we had multiple encounters up close and personal.
During this Borneo photo tour, we stayed at four unique lodges and each offered a different variety of wildlife. The rooms were very nice, the food very good and plentiful. It was a blast trying some of the local foods and the many different fruits on offer.
I have traveled extensively and this trip will go down as one of my ultimate favorites.
Thank you, ORYX and Dale for an experience I will never forget!”
