A Pantanal Photo Safari – by Terry Jackson
Considered one of the ten “mega-diversity” countries of the world, a Brazil photography tour is an adventure to the vast Pantanal, an endless mix of backwaters, lakes, rivers, gallery forests and forested islands.
This is the planet’s largest tropical wetland and is home to some of the most spectacular concentrations of wildlife in South America. Birds are abundant, quirky looking creatures await but the Jaguar is the main draw card on this photography tour. Our Pantanal photo safari incorporates four full days of boat excursions to search for these water-loving cats and each year the sightings get better and better.
Repeat ORYX client, Terry Jackson, joined us on our 2019 photo safari to the Pantanal and shared with us his feedback and images.
“I had a great time in the Pantanal with ORYX and our photo tour leader, Dale Morris. The Pantanal photo tour completely exceeded my expectations but I was also fortunate to embark on this journey with a compatible group of fellow photographers. I look forward to travelling with Dale and ORYX again in the future!”
