Exciting Collaboration Announcement – Great Migration Safaris 2026
Following recent discussions between ORYX Photo Tours and Wild Eye, I am thrilled to announce a new and exciting collaboration. We have agreed to partner on two separate weeks of Great Migration Safaris taking place in August and September 2026.
Keep an eye on our respective social media channels and websites for more detailed announcements in the coming weeks.
We are incredibly proud to host our clients at the Wild Eye Mara Camp, perfectly located on the banks of the Mara River. It is a true privilege to share this unique experience with Wild Eye—an organization whose values of respect, integrity, honesty, service excellence, and high-calibre photographic guiding align closely with our own.
We look forward to welcoming our combined guests with open arms, ensuring they continue to enjoy the same exceptional levels of service, hospitality, and comfort that both ORYX and Wild Eye are known for.
The camp’s intimate atmosphere and idyllic setting within the Mara Triangle offer the perfect base for capturing unforgettable wildlife moments and creating lasting memories.
I have every confidence that this partnership will be a great success and look forward to many years of mutual growth and collaboration.

Located in Kenya’s renowned Mara Triangle Conservancy in the Masai Mara, Enkishui Safari Camp offers an exclusive and deeply immersive wildlife experience. This seasonal and intimate safari retreat is set along the banks of the Mara River, placing guests in one of the most sought-after locations within the greater Mara–Serengeti ecosystem.
From exhilarating game drives led by expert guides to witnessing the drama of the Great Migration and close encounters with lions, cheetahs, and more, Enkishui Safari Camp delivers an authentic, personal, and unforgettable safari.
Open from late June to November, the camp combines a peaceful escape into nature with warm Maasai hospitality and industry-leading naturalist guiding. Accommodating just 12 guests across four vehicles, Enkishui is perfect for families or private groups seeking a more exclusive safari experience. Its remote setting, far from larger lodges, ensures uncrowded wildlife sightings and uninterrupted moments in the wild—offering true seclusion, privacy, and personalised service in the heart of Africa.

Born and raised in the heart of South Africa’s Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Cathan’s intimate knowledge of animal behavior and his deep-rooted connection to the wild allow him to anticipate and capture moments that transcend typical wildlife photography. His images evoke emotion and insight, telling the untold stories of the creatures he encounters. His work, which has been featured on major platforms like Discovery, BBC, and Fox, showcases his commitment to wildlife conservation and the importance of capturing fleeting moments in nature.
Having earned a Diploma in Commercial Photography from Tshwane University of Technology and certification as a field guide from the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA), this blend of photographic and ecological knowledge equips him to lead clients on photographic expiditions with a rare depth of understanding, guiding them to capture not only the perfect shot but also connect meaningfully with their subjects. His ability to read the rhythms of nature and understand the subtle behaviors of wildlife enhances the photographic experience, allowing clients to anticipate moments that would otherwise pass unnoticed.
Cathan’s photographic leadership goes beyond the lens — he provides guidance and mentorship to help clients create imagery beyond face value, sharing his extensive knowledge of wildlife and fieldcraft. His photographic tours blend creativity with ethical wildlife interaction, allowing clients to capture extraordinary images while respecting the natural world. Whether guiding photographers across Southern Africa, or beyond, Cathan’s relaxed yet focused manner ensures that each guest connects deeply with the landscapes and wildlife they encounter.
Each photograph Cathan helps create is a testament to his passion for conservation and his belief that the act of photographing wildlife is an act of stewardship — preserving moments that might otherwise be lost forever.
