Kate Ochsman
Kate Ochsman is an award winning wildlife photographer, passionate conservationist and an international wildlife photography guide who has guided on three continents.
Living at the gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Kate takes photographers of all levels into Yellowstone to photograph and connect with iconic American Wildlife. She also runs her photography company, Kate Ochsman Photography, and is currently working on her fine art collection. Kate’s photography has been published online and in print, and she donates her wildlife prints to raise money for Nonprofit organizations in her community and abroad. Since 2017, Kate has guided groups and individuals in Yellowstone National Park, throughout South Africa, Namibia, Brazil, the San Juan Islands and Alaska. Kate is the Project Leader and Coordinator for a youth conservation internship in South Africa. She has been a contributing photographer for Prints for Wildlife in 2021 and 2022, with her donated images, alongside those of the best wildlife photographers in the world, helped to raise $2.2 million for African Parks Network. In the summer of 2022, she worked as a conservation photographer for the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative in Jackson, Wyoming. Locally, Kate collaborates with Yellowstone Forever, the official Non-Profit Partner of Yellowstone National Park, and creates and hosts her own multi-day photography workshops. Money raised by Yellowstone Forever funds the globally recognized Yellowstone Wolf Project as well as funds programs that restore bison to the National Landscape on Native Lands. In addition to her guiding, Kate travels the world privately for her own photography and art.
Kate brings a passionate level of photographic and post-processing expertise, knowledge of fine art wildlife photography, conservation insight, global experience, photo contest perspective, warmth, fun, wonder and heart to all of her tours. Her missions are to help you connect with the wild in nature and within your very self, and to help you make beautiful, timeless images of iconic wildlife.
