India – Tigers of Ranthambore Signature Photo Tour 2023

Price: Price on Request

Fully Booked

12 April 2023 – 18 April 2023

This safari visits the celebrated Ranthambore National Park, which is arguably the best place to photograph Bengal Tiger. Our 10 sessions in the park will give you unbeatable opportunities to capture a diverse portfolio of Tiger images (all the while not forgetting the other resident wildlife). Ranthambhore is the world’s finest place to observe tigers in the wild, and SUJÁN Sher Bagh is the ideal base from which to explore this billion-year-old forest, with the mighty citadel that lends its name to the reserve rising majestically at the heart of it. With ruins of palaces, cenotaphs and follies dotted around the jungle, now inhabited by its wild denizens, with the Tiger at the apex, it is a spectacular wildlife haven that we look forward to welcoming you to.

Why this Photo Tour is for You

Destination Allure

Our Signature photo tour spends time in Ranthambore National Park, which is arguably the best place to photograph the Bengal Tiger. With Tiger numbers on the increase in the park, we stand a very good chance of capturing images of these entrancing beauties!

Month of Travel

Our tiger photo safari takes place at the beginning of spring when hot temperatures begin to set in. Although winter would have passed, no spring rain means foliage has not yet had time to sprout, leaving no ample shade or thick brush. Animals are more likely than not to stay near to water sources to stay cool, including Tigers!

Subjects of Interest

The “Lord of the Jungle”, the Bengal Tiger, is our main photographic target as well as the variety of wildlife, including the Sloth Bear, resplendent Indian Peafowl, various antelope and if you're lucky, the elusive Leopard.

Small Group Departures

Limited to 4 individuals, our Signature Tigers of Ranthambore Photo Tour is the perfect offering to explore the magnificence of India in an intimate & personalised tour!

Guided experience

Local knowledge of the region and its wildlife is key to crafting the ultimate photography tour experience. Combined with the photographic expertise of your ORYX Photo Tour Leader, and you are in for an adventure that will further fuel your excitement for photography and the destination.

Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi

Today is set aside as an arrival day in bustling New Delhi for ORYX’s Tigers of Ranthambore Signature Photo Tour.

Day 2: Fly New Delhi to Jaipur, road transfer to Ranthambore National Park, afternoon game drive

This morning after breakfast you will fly to Jaipur and road transfer to Ranthambore, Sher Bagh. Ranthambore National Park is one of India’s largest parks, protecting over 380 square kilometres (almost 1400 square kilometres including the buffer zone) of a rich mosaic of deciduous woodland, bamboo thickets, lakes and marshes.  This afternoon will be our first opportunity to photograph the majestic Tiger, which is often regarded as the most spectacular of all the world’s felines!

Days 3 to 6: Ranthambore National Park

You will use an open-top jeep to explore the park for Tigers, enjoying the area’s prolific wildlife as you go. The rangers will be on the lookout for tell-tale signs such as pugmarks or scat in the road, and will be ever alert for the alarm calls of Sambar, Spotted Deer and Hanuman Langur. With luck, these will lead you to a Tiger padding along a dusty track or sprawled out in the dappled sunlight.  Looking into a Tiger's amber eyes, the largest of all the cats, undoubtedly ranks as one of the world’s ultimate wildlife experiences, and is sure to keep you both enthralled and photographing like mad!

Day 7: AM game drive, road transfer to Jaipur and depart

After a morning game drive and a short breakfast this morning, you will depart Ranthambore and road transfer back to Jaipur. Upon arriving in Jaipur, this is sadly where your Ranthambore Photo Tour comes to an end.
