ORYX Photo Tours is proud to present our Life of Predators Photo Safari, which takes place in one of the world’s most iconic and thrilling wildlife destinations, Kenya’s Masai Mara in the exclusive and private Mara North Conservancy with Photo Tour Leader and expert Penny Robartes.

Timed to fall into the quieter “low season”, the migrating wildebeest herds are far away in the Serengeti which leaves the resident wildlife under the hungry and watchful gaze of the sought-after resident predators. Join us as we train our cameras on the remarkable Mara “locals”, bearing witness to some of the incredible moments that unfold before us in one of Africa’s premier wildlife areas.

Why this Photo Safari is for You

Life of Predators

Our days will be dedicated the predators of the Mara, and there are certainly a lot of them around! With the annual wildebeest migration having ended a few months prior, the predators are hungry! Having to work harder for their meals and hunt more often, this photo tour is potentially action-filled!

No Single Supplement Fee

There is no supplemental fee for solo travellers on this safari.

Freedom to Explore

With 2 dedicated ORYX game drive vehicles available for us to use, we not only have a good amount of space available for dedicated photographers but also have the ability to spend as long on game drives as we wish, making the most of the photographic opportunities that we encounter.

Less Vehicle Numbers

We will be staying in the Mara North Conservancy: a private area where only guests staying in one the conservancy’s camps are allowed access and traversing rights. Off-road driving is allowed here, and presents greater opportunities to get the photographic angles we desire! Capture authentic and intimate moments of the Mara’s wildlife while getting to learn a little of their fascinating lives.

Guided Experience

Local knowledge of the region and its inhabitants is key to crafting the ultimate photography tour experience. Combined with the photographic expertise of your ORYX Photo Tour Leader, and you are in for an adventure that will further fuel your excitement for photography and the destination.
