The “Big 5”, which comprise of Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo & Rhino, thrive here and our photography tour will be focused on these animals as their lives play out on the bushveld stage. Dubbed as a “big cat paradise”, Lion, Cheetah and Leopard are routinely seen, as well as the Endangered African Wild Dog and Spotted Hyena, which rounds up the quintet of Africa’s large carnivores.

The Sabi Sands is home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Southern Africa, with numerous predators & a healthy herbivore population. It represents some of the finest opportunities in Africa to photograph the Big 5, specifically the elusive Leopard.

Day 1: Fly from Johannesburg to Sabi Sands Game Reserve

After meeting at OR Tambo International Airport, we will fly to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve to begin our South Africa photo safari.south africa photo safari

Days 2 to 5: Sabi Sand Game Reserve

The Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park, is a vast and growing area, currently covering 6 million acres and incorporating the famous Kruger National Park. Habitats vary from Acacia thornveld dotted with Marula trees, to open savanna grasslands, and dense riverine woodland lined with majestic Jackalberry and Fig trees. The reserve has a dense concentration of wildlife and is home to the Big 5 – Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo. Day 6: Fly from Sabi Sands Game Reserve to OR Tambo International and depart

After a final morning’s game drive and another scrumptious breakfast, we will fly back to Johannesburg, where this incredible South Africa photo safari comes to an end.
