South Georgia Photo Expedition 2023
Fully Booked
4 Nov 2023 – 18 Nov 2023
South Georgia is one of the wildlife “jewels” of the South Atlantic Ocean, and has been dubbed “the most staggering wildlife show on earth”, a title that seems completely appropriate when marvelling at a colony of 500,000 King Penguins! This seldom-visited corner of the planet is traditionally only visited for three or four days as part of a much longer itinerary that focusses on Antarctica. We are therefore delighted to offer a photographic expedition that promises nine days on the island, with the focus on penguins, seabirds, seals and landscapes.
This tour is timed to coincide with the arrival of spring, when the wildlife residents are active and the landscapes should be pristine with white backdrops from winter’s snow. Zodiac boats will be utilised to get ashore or when searching for the wildlife at sea, and we will be taking advantage of the best lighting conditions for picture perfect moments!
